Discover Sri Lanka

Admire the wonders around you

Sri Lanka is an exquisite destination with a diverse range of landscapes, including beautiful golden beaches, abundant wildlife, and rich culture. There are eight UNESCO World Heritage Sites and fifteen national parks to explore, showcasing stunning scenery such as lush tea estates, cascading waterfalls, dense jungles, and fertile rice fields. Sri Lanka can be visited year-round, with November to April being the best time for beach lovers to experience the southwest coast. Those interested in the ancient city areas and eastern coastal regions should visit from April to September, while the central highlands offer a cool climate from January to April.

The central highlands are famous for producing Ceylon Tea, making Sri Lanka the tea capital of the world. Despite being a few hours’ drives from the rest of the country, the area offers a breathtaking contrast to the surrounding landscape. With stunning mountain views, cascading waterfalls, and verdant valleys, the central highlands provide the perfect altitude for growing some of the finest tea in the world and boasts numerous tea estates.

The north-central province of Sri Lanka is a treasure trove of ancient cities, temples, palaces, and preserved Buddhist stupas, with two-thirds of the country’s Cultural Triangle located here. Visitors can explore a range of religious sites, including the revered Enlightenment Tree.

The southwest, south, and eastern coasts of Sri Lanka offer a remarkable tropical coast, with plenty of exciting activities to enjoy. Arugam Bay is known as the ‘surfing capital of the world,’ while Mirissa offers whale and dolphin watching, Tangalle boasts various water sports, and Galle features an old sea fort. Hikkaduwa offers fantastic scuba diving opportunities. With plenty of suns, waves, sights, and aquatic pleasures to enjoy, Sri Lanka is an ideal destination for a memorable beach holiday.
